new york city marathon week screening of "run for you life: the fred lebow story"

what another great marathon-related event to consider (among the myriad of choices available to nyc marathon runners - and everyone else for that matter) adding to your schedule! today (10/29), at the village east cinema, begins a special theatrical screening of "run for your life: the fred lebow story," - and runs (forgive the pun) until next thursday (11/6).

this may be - if not become - a "must see" documentary for anyone interested in the history of the nyc marathon. my friends and i caught its release, as part of the tribeca film festival, last spring. here is the review i posted. hopefully, i'll get to see it on the big screen a second time. for those who can't catch it at the village east, this week marks its release on dvd.

When I began my running activity (1985) the first 2 stories that I read with much interest were the biographies of Fred Lebow and Steve Prefontaine.
