after lunch at le sous-bock, i really wasn't in the mood for another beer. but i did want to check out au trappiste since i was only a few blocks away. i'm glad i did! while this place was much more touristy, and much less interesting than le sous-bock (or the academie de la biere) i did get to taste a lindemans framboise lambic on tap!
this fruit-base beer has more in common with wine than it does beer. it is also very light and refreshing - almost dessert-like in its sweetness. it turned out to be the perfect finish to my mussels, fries and pietra beer lunch! and i resumed my sightseeing in high spirits!
