greetings from paris!

bonjour du paris! i just checked in at my hotel in the saint germain des pres district, on the left bank. the once incredibly bohemian (and now yuppified) rive gauche is easily my favorite part of this historic city.

i left new york via jfk on the 10:50 flight (which was delayed by almost and hour). prior to the ride to the airport, i kicked off the trip with a burgundy wine-tasting at zachy's! i can't imagine a more fitting send off. the flight landed here just after 12:30 local time, and i got bag and left the airport a little after one. it's a been gray and drizzle filled afternoon, so far. but, now, it looks like the sun may come out and dry things up a bit.

tomorrow taken up with business meetings. but aside from those, i'll have plenty of time to get in some sightseeing and hang out with some of my friends. i hope to have some interesting posts over the next few days (and catch up on a few that i haven't done yet, like my race report for the great train race).

stay tuned :D
