october is national italian heritage month. here, in new york, 2008 marks the 32nd anniversary of october as italian heritage and culture month. this year the theme honors renaissance architect andrea pallidio (1508 – 1580), "widely considered the most influential person in the history of western architecture."
fortunately, one neither needs to be italian, nor an architect, to celebrate :D
here is the event guide.
and then, of course, there is the columbus day parade!
