norfolk pub 10 miler: photos and results

today emmy and i made the hour and a half drive up to norfolk for the norfolk pub 10 miler. on the drive up, via route 8, we were welcomed with a snow squall!

the race itself is in the shadow of haystack mountain - and it seemed like the course ran up and down a mountain!

the town billed itself as the "icebox of connecticut" - and it was almost cold enough (w/the wind chill) for that to be an understatement!

i finished in 1:20:02, an 8:01 pace. emmy finished in 1:22:42, an 8:17 pace - and was 3rd woman overall!

here is my race report.

here is link to the official results at greystone racing.

the post race awards were, where else, a pub!

heading over to the pub.

believe it our not, the runners took over the place! our bib tags were redeemed for draft beer!

emmy had an old specked hen ale.

i opted for the dogfish head 90 minute i.p.a.
