i just had to mention that the norwalk mother's day 10k race on sunday turned out to be my 100th race in connecticut. my very first connecticut race was the 2001 weston resolution run, a 5k race held every new year's day.
that race will always have a special place in my memory because we spent many a new year's eve in neighboring westport. but, most importantly, i'll never forget my how my late father-in-law, george, graciously volunteered to drive the course with me the day before. it was funny listening to george point out all the non-running landmarks (while i tried to take note of each and every hill). i've somehow managed to run that race 6 times over the last 8 years! looking back at the results of that 2001 race today made me smile because the female winner, who i had yet to meet at that time, was emmy!
taking a quick peek at my own state of new york, with 197 run, i'm very close to reaching the 200 race milestone!

not to get too mushy, but that is the coolest story ive ever heard about meeting your significant other. neither of my significant others (ive been married once _ and then divorced _ and then met my son's mother) have ever been runners. maybe there is a runner gal in my future.
You RAN A RACE on Sunday?
OK, not going to lie, I considered it. But sleep won out (and for that my quads are forever thankful)...
So, what are some of your favorite races out of the 100 that you have done? (the summer series?maybe? how about the BB 25K?). Kevin --Frank has many, many friends from CT racing-I am just one of the many. Keep on running and you will meet a running girl -in fact I have a friend ...well, never mind for now. No more match-making for me:)-emmy
Congratulations Frank, here is to many more
thanks kevin!
