coney island lagers at whole foods beer room!

this post is a follow-up to my review of "man on a wire." on the way back from the theatre i walked by the "whole food market bowery beer room" on houston street. i had no idea such a place existed and, curiosity getting the better of me, went inside to check it out! i asked the salesperson if they carried "stone cat ale" (no) and "coney island lagers" (yes). not only did they have all coney island lager brands, turned out i was standing right in front of them when i asked the question!

i had read about these interesting creatures with the awesome labels in the ny times, when they ran a short piece on their debut last month. i purchased one of each of the 22 oz. bottles - which made for quite an interesting commute back to my office, then to class and, finally, the ride home on the metronorth, as i lugged around a small whole food shopping bag with those 3 incessantly clinking bottles!

i haven't had the opportunity to taste them yet. but certainly looking forward to what i hope will be a sideshow like enjoyment of the brews and their awesome looking labels :D
