catskill mountain 100k relay preview

this morning, as i wait for don and emmy to arrive and we head up to phoencia, ny, for the catskill mountain 100k relay, thought i'd post a quick preview (including a neat youtube video from the 2007 edition).



aside from the cool production, the soundtrack is "strutter," from kiss!

since myriam and pam will run the first two legs, we have a little extra time, and need to arrive for the start of the third leg of the relay. each of our 5 member team will run two 10k legs of the hilly course. a friend of ours, todd, will also run the relay, with his returning teammates from the 2007 edition.

yesterday, in addition to packing up my regular race gear, i also was tasked with picking up some beer for our post-race activities. what better choice for a run in the catskills than a "beers of summer" 12-pack from saranac - straight from the adirondack mountains?!
