yesterday was pretty action-packed here. in addition to katie's first day of high school orientation (classes begin next week), she had a post-orientation bbq, an unscheduled trip to the sports doctor (who confirmed she had shin splints - argh), then their first field hockey scrimmage of the season (they lost 1-0) and, finally, a post-scrimmage, post-dinner, ice bath!
that made my half day at the office seem like vacations ;p
