bridgeport international 5k: race photos and results

just got home from the bridgeport international "5k" race. the race distance is in quotes because the course was slightly longer than your typical 5k - by at least one full mile (probably 1.1 miles longer than a 5k). it took me 27:45 to run this race - and i finished 5th overall!

despite the length, the race was fun and the course was beautiful - the majority of which ran along the beach at seaside park!

here are the official results from hi-tek racing.

fun photos! I think it is the funniest thing that Marty 'recycled' or donated some of his trophies and medals:0) Also funny that te course was almost 4 miles -oops --well, it was a nice race and a nice day for it. Too bad Kate didn't run -she would have won.

Sure. It was the course that was too long, not you that was too slow.

Looks like a good time was had by all.
