this month sees a return to nyrr races, with a pair of them on deck: the scotland run, 10k, next week and the run for the parks 4 miler on the 22nd. unfortunately, both races conflict with other events. the scotland run conflicts with one of my favorite spring races, the bunny boogie in darien. the run for the parks conflicts with the leatherman's loop. the things we must do to satisfy nine + one.
the rest of the month is pretty sparse. i haven't found a race to do the weekend of april 14-15. i'm sure something will turn up, but it's just as likely that i'll be stuck doing some tax work that weekend. the following weekend is the sybil ludington 50k - normally a staple of my spring calendar. this year i don't plan to run the 50k, but am seriously considering the 2-person relay instead.
last, but not least, is a new race that i've just stumbled upon: the race around briggs mountain, 8.2 miles, in dutchess county. what's amazing is that it's in it's 15th year(!) - and this is the first i've heard of it. i'm really looking forward to this one!

4/28 - race around briggs mountain, 8.2 miles.
