this morning was the 34th running of the putman county classic - a challenging 8 mile course around lake mahopac. in a first for me, i was the co-race director, with emmy! we had just under 320 runners cross the finish line in some pretty hot, humid conditions. we had over 40 volunteers: spread across race registration, food prep, water stops, course marshall's, finish line timing, and ham radio operators. they made the event go off without a hitch!
