jerry lewis turned a spry 83 today, march 16, 2009. but his birthday present, his very own oscar, arrived a bit early - at last month's academy awards ceremony! while the oscar was for his humanitarian work instead of his acting, it was well-deserved and long overdue.
i'm a big fan of jerry lewis (it must definitely be the french (wine) in me - haha) and the martin and lewis team, as well. there is no bigger fan of martin and lewis than jerry himself (as he wrote in his memoir, "dean and me: a love story").
so happy birthday jerry - and here's wishing you many more!
